"The movie is a short time lapse about the dolomites. I was 4 days in the region of "passo pordoi" and shooted all sequences in that short time. You can see a day on that spot with stunning mountains, sunrises and nature."

In the Spring of 2014 a small group of close friends broke ground on a building project in Skamania County, Washington in the Columbia River Gorge. Their primary endeavor was a multi-platform tree house, but also included a skate bowl and a wood fired soaking tub as well. The crew came from all over the country and from a variety of backgrounds. Some were professional carpenters, others learned on the job, gaining experience along the way. The Cinder Cone is Foster Huntington’s short film that documents this year-long process of building his dream home with this community of tight knit friends.

"Don't confuse me with being anything else other than proud. Proud to be a hunter. It's time we stop apologizing for how we get our protein. This is who we are. Unless you’re a small time rancher, small time farmer, a hunter or fishermen... you really have no idea where your food comes from. Most people don’t even think about it. Well, we think about it. ” - Donnie Vincent.
If you’re like me and hunting is part of who you are, share this video and hopefully we can get some people thinking differently about how they acquire their food and maybe, just maybe... we'll change their opinion about hunting.

Impressing!!!
Meet Jack English, a 93-year-old legend who lives in a cabin isolated deep in the Ventana Wilderness.
While on a hunting trip he learned that an old homestead in the Ventana Wilderness was being put up for auction by the estate of a childless heiress. He put a bid on the property and won. On the land he built a small cabin using materials from the land and milling trees by hand. When his wife passed away, Jack effectively left "society" and moved to the cabin full time.

Sehr lustige Idee, die Dinger kennt man ja wohl von den Blumentöpfen - ohne die könnte ich nicht mal Majoran und Rosmarin unterscheiden :-)

via kfmw.On October 26th, a hole was blasted in the base of 125' tall Condit Dam on the White Salmon River in Washington. In less than 2 hours, the reservoir behind the dam drained completely and the White Salmon flowed unimpeded by a dam for the first time in 100 years. This short clip is a combination of video and timelapse photography captured throughout the day.

My favourite place for a short trip into nature, here in a nice timelapse video by the muenster4life-team. My congrats :-)
First time this year I grapped my inline skates and took a ride to the Rieselfelder nearby...

Nice break in the nature, surrounded by thousands of birds... and billions of flies...
Good fun anyway :-)))

Faszinierende Aufnahmen aus Norwegen - Hammer!!! Tolle Arbeit von Terje Sorgjerd!

[via]
...by Terje SorgjerdThis was filmed between 29th April and 10th May 2011 in the Arctic, on the archipelago Lofoten in Norway. My favorite natural phenomenon is one I do not even know the name of, even after talking to meteorologists and astrophysicists I am none the wiser. What I am talking about I have decided to call The Arctic Light and it is a natural phenomenon occurring 2-4 weeks before you can see the Midnight Sun.

Norwegen, Winter, -25 Grad, nahe der russischen Grenze: Aurora Borealis, wie es Terje Sorgjerd gesehen und in einem sehr beeindruckenden Video festgehalten hat... Toll!!!

I spent a week capturing one of the biggest aurora borealis shows in recent years.
Shot in and around Kirkenes and Pas National Park bordering Russia, at 70 degree north and 30 degrees east. Temperatures around -25 Celsius. Good fun.via boingboing.
