MAGIC IS REAL! was created last September on the surface of Bedrock.LA in Echo Park, Los Angeles. This mural covers 11,000 square feet of the building's exterior, making it one of the largest murals in Los Angeles. We just finished editing a video that shows some of the process, and a lot of the fun that went into the project- check it out! We couldn't have made this without the help of theonepointeight and sincetechnicolor- they captured some amazing shots. Special thanks go out to Bedrock.LA for giving us complete creative freedom on such a massive project. We also want to thank Blue Rooster Art Supplies in Los Feliz for their continuous support throughout the years- they really are the biggest little art store in the world! And, a big thank you to LALA ARTS for helping arrange paint and lifts, Travis Forster and Boom Movement for the awesome headgear, and AL's Cycle shop for their posse of daily characters.

Eine sehr beeindruckende Dokumentation, die zeigt, wie der Fotograf Aaron Huey die Lebensweise der Indianer in ihrem Reservat in South Dakota, am Fuße der Black Hills, miterlebt und in Bildern festhält. Ihr Leben ist geprägt von Armut, Gewalt und Alkohol und Huey beschreibt sehr eindrucksvoll, welche Schuld die Anderen daran tragen, die jetzt nur noch zuschauen müssen, wie diese Stämme sich selbst eliminieren und langsam untergehen.
Huey konnte Shepard Fairey, momentan sicher einer der bekanntesten Künstler der USA, zu einer großen Streetart Aktion in L.A. überreden, um auf das Schicksal der Indianer aufmerksam zu machen. Sehr beeindruckend!!!

A relaxed yet unique character, he makes up songs and sings and raps while he creates, but never listens to music because it affects his harmony. Ob an Ampeln, Stromkästen oder Bäumen, in Hausfluren, Copyshops oder Cafés, in U- und S-Bahnhöfen, oder an den schwarzen Brettern der Universitäten: die Hauptstadt zeigt hier ihre vielen Gesichter.


Seit Oktober 2010 veröffentlicht das Blog http://www.notesofberlin.com täglich mindestens eine NOTE aus Berlin. Das Projekt ist nicht nur eine Hommage an die Stadt und die Kreativität seiner Bewohner, sondern versucht anhand jener Fundstücke den öffentlichen Charakter der Hauptstadt einzufangen.
