DJ, producer and percussionist Christian Prommer knows more than most when it comes to blending the organic with the synthetic. Born in Munich, he was formally trained in both drums—his first love—and piano, and a background in jazz has furnished him with a very particular perspective when approaching his other love: techno. This fertile crossover territory was covered comprehensively with his Drumlesson project (which gave rise to this jazz reworking of Derrick May’s “Strings of Life”) but this openminded, flexible and, yes, jazz-like approach to electronic music is detectable in all his work. Including this diverse mix, which features a number of his own live sounding productions alongside apposite works (and reworkings of) by The xx, Radiohead, Will Saul and Maya Jane Coles.Njoy :-)
