The World is Cube: Solving a Rubik's Cube Around The World (3:41 min)
After graduating from Harvard College in May, 2014, I decided to backpack for two months and see what the world had to offer. I also wanted to solve a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube throughout the entirety of my journey. To do so, I had one person do one move only in different locations I had traveled to. This is the final result.
Summary of the video:
11 countries. 84 moves. 30 females. 54 males. 1 monkey. 1 snake. 1 rejection.
Underwater shots were filmed using a GoPro Hero 3+ and everything else was shot using my iPhone 5s.
BEGIN NERD ALERT
I started solving the cube using the F2L method. To solve the last layer, I used a 6-step algorithm multiple times to get to the cross and then a 9-step algorithm for OLL and finally a 15-step algorithm for PLL.
END NERD ALERT
Erinnert schwer an Matt, die Idee - war damals eines meiner ersten Postings im Blog (lange bevor das Einbinden von yt-Videos erfunden wurde ;-) - ist jetzt aber auch sehr schön gemacht, die Geschichte hier :-)
