If you asked me what's been consistently my favourite gig in the past decade or so, Melting Pot would immediately spring to mind. It's everything you want in a club night – a knowledgable crowd really up for the party, a wonderful sound system, and promoted by a crew who clearly care about that attention to detail that makes a night extra special. Last Sunday was the first time I experienced the new layout at The Admiral, which is a definite improvement, giving the room even more of a club vibe. Believe me, if Melting Pot was in London it would be generally acknowledged as one of the top UK underground club nights of the modern era.
