The Txter
The kind of body language preferred by moody grime DJs trying to look nonchalant by constantly checking their phone in the time between clanging mixes together.
Examples: Darq E Freaker, Preditah
The Finger Piano-player
These DJs do little but look cool for their whole set – apart from when a piano comes in and they nonchalantly raise one hand to play along to the riff.
Example: Dixon
The Libido
Similar to the bobber, but instead of leading with the shoulders this lot lead with the hips, adding a hint of sexual thrust to what is in fact just someone fiddling with a mixer.
Examples: Solomun, Shaun Reeves
The Lean-back
Often occurs as the prelude to a full-on head-mosh when the tune drops. Habitual proponents risk displaying the contents of their nostrils to the crowd – not to mention whiplash.
Examples: Skrillex, Rusko
The Jesus
The ultimate pose favoured by many big-shots; with arms outstretched like Jesus on the cross these DJs probably lap up the crowd’s adoration while secretly thinking, “Yes, I am good”.
Examples: Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia
The Pointer
The standard pose adopted by many a mainstream millionaire – and those who aspire to be them. Far more acceptable in Ibizan superclubs than a half-empty Sheila’s Wine Bar in Swindon.
Examples: Guetta,Tiësto, Ferry Corsten

Toll gemachtes Filmchen aus Instagram Bildchen - crowd source :-)))
Instagram is an incredible resource for all kinds of images. I wanted to create structure out of this chaos. The result is a crowd source short-film that shows the endless possibilities of social media.
The video consists of 852 different pictures, from 852 different instagram users. If you are one of them, shout and I will add you to the credits.

"41 photographs of New York taken between 3:00am and 7:00am shot with the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its amazing 41mp sensor (http://nokia.com/lumia1020). The 41 images were masterfully stiched together to create a hypnotic film that takes us on a journey through the night to sunrise."

Before embarking on her massively successful solo career as the best female blue-eyed soul singer of all time, Dusty Springfield (Mary O’Brien) was in a folk-pop trio, The Springfields, from 1960 to 1963. The other two members, her brother Tom (Dion O’Brien) and Tim Feild, had started out performing as a duo, The Kensington Squares. When Dusty left her own vocal trio The Lana Sisters to join her brother’s group, they adopted Springfield as their collective stage surname one day after rehearsing on a sunny spring day. Feild, now a Sufi teacher and writer called Reshad Feild, left the group due to his wife’s ill health and was replaced by Mike Hurst in 1962. Before Dusty was associated with Motown, Carole King, and Burt Bacharach, she was busy toiling away in the same genre as Peter, Paul, and Mary.
The Springfields were popular in the U.K., with successful charting singles on Phillips Records: “Breakaway,” “Bambino,” “Island of Dreams,” “Say I Won’t Be There,” and “Come On Home.” They stood out among their peers in the folk-heavy pre-beat music era. “Silver Threads and Golden Needles,” reached the Top 20 in the U.S. about a year and a half before the official British Invasion. The Springfields recorded their 1963 album Folk Songs from the Hills in Nashville, where Dusty discovered and fell in love with American soul music.
Popular music in the years immediately before The Beatles began recording was, in many ways, a dismal wasteland. After discovering soul, it’s not hard to believe that Dusty found the folk-pop genre restricting. Her strong personal style evolved during The Springfields’ career, so that in the movie It’s All Over Now she looks and sounds like the iconic, easily recognizable Dusty.
via dangerousminds. The Springfields made many appearances on British television and had their own variety-show series in 1961, two episodes of which were released on Goin’ Back: The Definitive Dusty Springfield box set.
Later then...
Schöne Geschichte, Mobstr und die Ordnungskräfte bei ihrem kleinen Spielchen 8-)
.....
"Mobstr has done it again, dancing a little dance with the buffman for our entertainment. The Story involves essentially the same dance as his search for acceptable shade of grey, except that this time he makes it quite clear what the consequences of his work being buffed will be. The first fame of The Story is above."

Dahab, Egypt, early 90s
Lena and me, we first met in the early 90s on a small Greek island. After that we had some appointments in Denmark for partying, in Egypt for vacation (really :-) and some more in various places in Europe. We never lost contact and thanks to internet - or sould I say fb - the contact got closer again within the last few years :-)

"Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield, who is currently living in space aboard the International Space Station (ISS) as Flight Engineer on Expedition 34 (and soon to be Commander of Expedition 35 in March 2013), has been tweeting some gorgeous snapshots of earth as seen from space. Follow him on Twitter, for daily photo updates.
Below, his final photo of the day today, which shows a clear distinction of the border between Gaza, Israel and Egypt."

SANDY’S AFTERMATH - PHOTOS OF DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN BY JENNA POPE

A street in Manhattan somewhere is missing its stop sign.
Debris on the road in lower Manhattan that had been swept up by flood water the night before
"As a photojournalist, I feel as though I need to share my photos and experiences in order to help out those in NYC who are suffering during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The more people see the devastation and destruction here, the more people will want to help out. I have yet to make it out of Manhattan since the storm hit because transportation is difficult with subway lines down and gas running low. The other boroughs experienced more destruction, with houses being burned down during electrical fires and houses being swept away into the sea. But, even being in lower Manhattan where people dealt with flooded apartments and have been without electricity and water since the storm has been an eye-opening and emotional experience. Fire hydrants are opened and gushing water so those in the areas without water can fill up buckets to bring back to their apartments. Lines are long at the few locations that are offering food, water, and other assistance. The weather is getting cold, and without electricity there is no heat. And all of this is happening after these people went through a frightening hurricane just a few days ago."

If you’re in the Manhattan area and want to help out during these difficult times, Jenna suggests you check out this for instructions on where your energy can best be put to use.
